So since the post was pretty popular on tumblr, I thought I should repost it here.

For the genderbend and french, I used this website called [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], which is my go-to site for naming characters of certain background and finding last names for them.

My rule for the genderbend: must be the feminine version of the original. If a feminine version doesn't exist, a name starting by the same letter will do.

For the 2P's my rule was to get a name starting with the opposite letter of the original name, by looking at a circular chart with the letters written around it [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

And so here's what I came up with (with the help of others who commented on the original post):

See charts:

I know right, these are such old names, they are so funny to read. Everytime I imagine Jean calling Ralph Raoul and Ralph just make the most outraged face in the entire universe.

*silently saves the French one for future reference*
I've got bad relationships with Nyo Ontario's name that I'm not touching with a ten-foot pole, but oh well.

If I'm right, Victoria is a Latin name? I'll leave minty-fresh Hapo to tell me whether or not I'm right.
In other news, these are super nice! I really like the charts. Plus the set-up is really nice and clean. These are definitely making their way into my reference folder. Radical work, Snazzy DaZeli! I like what you did with the 2p's names, making it the opposite letter and all. Clever and it actually works quite well.
Raoul just sounds like the name of a pasta brand? It actually might be, I might have to take a moment to go check on that. That might just be my opinion, though.

Ahahah Raoul will dominate the world!
The 2P we already talked about that a long time ago (before you came around) and we agreed not to include them unless they would be specifically needed, because making them would just be more work.

And Victoria is not French, it is indeed Latin, but Latin =/= French all the time saddly. There is however many possible french version for the name, like Victoire which is the direct translation.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Ahahah thank you!
Actually Raoul make me think more of an old man, but a pasta brand is fine too lol

Horrible Histories! I love that show. Do you get it in Canada? Doesn't Canada get the BBC (which is what HH is)?

Also, I came up with my own Nyo names for the provinces. They were pretty much the same ones as the ones Zeli described, but I changed a few of the names.

For example, I decided to call female Saskatchewan Rowena as it contains 'Owen', his real name, and female Nova Scotia Joelle, which is simply the female version of Joel (NS's real name).

Some of them were a little harder than others, like the territories, PEI and New Brunswick. The closest male equivalent of Marie (NB's real name) is Marius, so I went with that.

The only channel I know that plays HH in Canada is BBC Kids, which is a combination of British and Canadian shows. It's something you have to pay extra for, though, so most people don't get it. It's not something that is readily available in stores either, which is a shame since it's such a good show.
