Has tried electric cigarettes

He likes them just as much as regular cigarettes and would probably switch to using electric cigarettes

But he secretly enjoys being able to blow smoke in the other provinces faces

I would have to agree with that. And then he would smirk afterward.
Pretty sure someone threw him a glass of water in the face for that!

Funny! I just drew a comic in which Jean has an e-cig. I haven't finished it yet, though.

I think Jean might be short for Jean-Baptiste. Which is a very Québécois name.

I think Baptiste would be one of his names, but I think his first name would be just Jean.

If he had a birth certificate the name on it would probably be Jean Joseph Baptiste Bonnefoy Tremblay.

And I think we can see why he chose to stick with Jean Tremblay.

If I had the choice between the most generic name or the name of my grandfather, I'd chose to be generic ahah

Jean is the French version of John. It's funny. Jean-Baptiste means "Baptism John" roughly.Smile

It would actually be John Baptist, because translating names from French to English doesn't change de order of the name and vice versa. Very Happy

I feel like Jean would probably also be able to play the fiddle. He has a historic Irish population and a lot of folk music I've heard from Quebec includes a fiddle

@ NinjaSam - But I associate fiddles more with the Maritime provinces, especially Nova Scotia because of its Scottish heritage.

Quebecois folk music has a very distinctive style to it. I think both Quebec and Nova Scotia would be able to play the fiddle, but they would play it quite differently from each other. I also see Nova Scotia as the type to more often pull out his violin to rouse a partying atmosphere anywhere he is as opposed to Quebec, who will do it in a more intimate social setting as a means to connect with and show off his culture (mostly because I tend to picture a small, close-knit community gathering in front of a fireplace in a large wood cabin in the middle of the woods during a cold wintry evening whenever I hear Quebec folk music hahaha).

May act as a bit of a food snob, but pigs out on artisan poutines and the like when no one's looking.
